Like other implant treatments, you can expect the application of your implant retained bridge to take place over two or more appointments and several months. We’ll always start with an initial consultation where we’ll determine if you’re a suitable candidate for an implant – this is usually done via X-ray or CT scan.
Then, when we’ve established this is the correct treatment for you, you’ll come into the practice to have the implant placed in the jaw. This requires local anaesthetic and then leads to a wait of a few months while we allow time for the jaw and implant to fuse, as well as for the site to heal. Once the implant has completely integrated and fused with the bone, your teeth are ready to be restored and your bridge can be placed.
